Six years ago, my now-husband bought me a gift certificate to a spa. After being pampered for the day I was hooked. Every year for my birthday I ask for a gift certificate to my local spa. I look forward to my spa day every year.
Since I enjoy it so much, I decided every month I would have a Spa Day at Home, where I pamper myself and relive those tranquil days at the spa. In this post, you will find out what you need to create your own Spa day. You will also find my Spa Day at Home Schedule!

In order to create a Spa Day at your house there are a few things you will need:
1) A Quiet Space
- Have someone take the kids out of the house; a relative, your husband, or a friend.
- Enjoy your at home spa after the kids have gone to bed. It might be late but it will help you get relaxed and ready for a deep sleep.
2) Relaxation Music
3) Yoga Mat
You will be using the Yoga mat while you Meditate and when you are doing Yoga.
4) Guided Meditation Audio
5) Yoga Video
I recommend Chamomile Tea because it is known to lower stress levels.
7) Diffuser & Essential Oils
The URPOWER shown below is the diffuser I purchased from Amazon. It is small so it doesn’t take up much space and looks sophisticated enough for use in my living room and office.

8) Face Mask
Choose a face mask that best assimilates into your current face care products.
9) Bath Soak
You can purchase bath soaks, salts or bombs. I like making my own bath soaks. My bath soak recipe will be added to the Blog soon!
10) Nail Polish
I love Ella+Mila nail polish. Ella + Mila is a 7-Free Nail Polish. 7-Free means that they are made without Toluene, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor, TPHP, and Xylene. There is more information on their website.
Spa Day @ Home Schedule!
Step 1: Set Up
Make sure you have everything that you need and make it easily accessible. The less you have to search for during your spa day the deeper your relaxation will remain.
You will want to become familiar with how long it takes to fill up your tub. My tub is fairly large and takes about 45 minutes to an hour to fill. I start it before my meditation and then check it before and after my yoga session.
Turn on the diffuser and use an essential oil that will promote relaxation.
Step 2 & 3: Guided Meditation & Yoga
I recommend keeping a rolled up blanket or towel close at hand because it will help you get comfy during your meditation.
Step 4-8: Cleanse Face & Apply Face Mask, Soak in the tub, Shower, Nails & get ready for the rest of the day!
Take your time. Remember that you don’t have to rush. There are no kids waiting for you today and there is no place else you need to be. Use the time in the tub to read, drink tea or just listen to the relaxing music. In the shower, shave & do a hair conditioning treatment you don’t normally have time for. Use this time to pamper yourself fully because you deserve it!
